Have nibbled through many a food trying to find that satisfaction. Funny, but it isn't always the gooey hot fudge sundae that brings satisfaction.

Happens to me all the time too. Just yesterday, in fact. I'm usually craving savory or salty foods, instead of sweets, like chips, but we didn't have any. So, I opted for popcorn, but that didn't work. A couple of hours later I did get some ice cream but that didn't work either. So, went to bed without supper and was starving this morning when I got up.

Yes, usually when this happens I fix tacos or spaghetti, I think I'm craving spices

I wish I could say I don't know what your talking about! Since I was diagnosed as diabetic, all I think about is candy, chocolate, donuts, pastries...you know, all the good stuff. I doubt that craving will ever go away!

Since I hit menopause, I am always craving food but nothing specific and nothing satisfies my cravings. So lately,I've just tried to ignore the cravings as much as possible and just have water. If I don't do that, I'll end up like a fat piggy.


My Dad always said that if you have a craving but don't know what you are craving, then you're not really hungry.

lol this made me chuckle. My brain (or is it my tummy) doesn't know that I can't crave something unless I'm hungry!

We had some of the best green beans I've ever tasted at a little country restaurant here last Saturday night. We tried to talk the owner out of the recipe, but he wouldn't budge. (And he is very good friends with my daughter and her family too! lol) I'm going to do some experimenting and see if I can figure it out.

That's what happened to me yesterday. Didn't know what I wanted but kept eating and nothing satisfied me. Even though I was full I kept trying to find something more to eat. Never did figure out what I was craving.
