When does the guest arrive? My MO is to wait until eight hours til anticipated arrival, panic, and get it done just in the nick of time.

So I'm either no help at all or worse, an enabler. LOL

Find a large box and put everything in there. Then take a couple of quilts and drape them over the box. Problem solved!!
(Can you tell I don't like to clean?)

I have no sofa for my guest to sleep on so I need to clean out some of the totes that are collecting in the spare room that I used to use for sewing til it got so deep. I am able to get to my computer tho.

I remember seeing a great household tip a while back on this site: place several get well cards on the mantel....guests will think you have been ill and not mention the mess!!! This sounds like a great opportunity to test this and let us know if it really works.

Aggh!! That is my problem too, I am having a bunch of folks come for the 4th and now I have to move all my "sorted" fabric out of the guest rooms and do some serious de-threading.

Well I finally found the bed.. I forgot it was in there, just kidding..I just couldnt see it anymore.. LOL.. I found some vintage fabrics in a trash bag so I guess it was a win win situation.. but boy oh boy there was alot of stuff in there.. I just shoved most into a walk-in closet..Thanks god for doors!! And tubs are piled two high in the corner but the guests can walk around either side of the bed.. WHOO HOO!!

ok one down.. four more bedrooms to go.. at least I only have to straighten up and change the linens.. whew..

Hubby is in the basement folding clothes.. lol.... Ha and I remember when he use to tell me he didnt know how..lol..

    Thanks for the push everyone..

Never store anything you care about in black garbage bags. I'm missing a vintage necklace and who knows what else after a move. And have heard other "horror" stories about mistaken trash bags.
