Does anyone know of a site that shows Christmas baskets, designs, patterns? I want to do baskets of homemade preserves, cookies, etc. for Christmas and put them in nice baskets but I need some ideas. Maybe a quilted cover of some kind, a tea cozy, a tea pot, jams and scones or something.

I have done that for a few years. I find really nice baskets at garage sales, or thrift stores, line them in kitchen towels in the colors of that persons kitchen, with some homemade potholders, preserves, cookie mix in mason jars & pancake mix with real maple syrup! If it is for a quilt friend, add some fat quarters tied up with a ribbon! They are easy to arrange! Have fun!

I did something like that last year for Christmas. At the dollar store I found some nice square containers that were woven fabric with a metal frame. I put in homemade candy, an embroidered tea towel, a handmade ornament, some hot chocolate mix and a mug. The containers could then be used for storage after they were empty.

Thanks for the ideas. :) Looks like I need to make a trip to a dollar store. I was just looking at pie plates and there's a really pretty red fluted one at Amazon for under $10. I have a recipe for apple pie filling that I want to make. I could put a jar of filling in the plate, a pie cutter, a tea towel, pot holders, crust mix, etc.
I'm also thinking those cookies where you put a dollop of jam in the center and use my own jam.

I ordered the pie plates and then I found this place for baskets. They have a 12" round metal frame basket for only $3.29, have to buy a case of 10 though.

really nice baskets! Sounds like you have some good ideas! I made picnic quilts for my children this year and have a picnic basket to match each of the quilts. I will fill the basket with homemade goodies from apple butter to pot holders, books, movies etc.

one year I made tea gift baskets, mother and sisters and BGF all read mystery's, so got "the English breakfast murder" Death by Darjeeling. Shades of Earl Gray, gunpowder green. Then got of of the teas in the books titlr\es, a tea strainer, tea cup and tea pot, and cozie, put them all in basket with mix for scones and lemon curd from England.
They have cookie mysterys, and others that might make a good gift/togeather with what ever , just an idea
