Yes there really was 20 tons, I immediately got rid of about 8, now I am not sure how much is left in terms of tonnage but a lot. I think at least 4 elephants now down to 2.

When I googled what weighed 20 tons this came up.

I couldn't envision how much room that would take up or how much fabric that would be. However, I also can't imagine 4000 cats.

Isn't that amount of fabric scary?

Why is your Bernina sitting on the garage floor? Seems like that would be bad for it, dampness. Are you selling it?

All of you have wonderful ideas, I like the raffle idea quite a bit. I have offered some of it on here and none of you seem to be interested. Some of it is really hard to describe and some of it is in odd sized pieces.
I will offer it for quilt backs- that is a great idea for the larger pieces, the light weight drapery is excellent for that.

You all did not scare me one bit - I am getting ready for a show in 2 weeks plus DE- STASHING! I'll get some pics up for you I promise.

That Bernina is on my studio floor, it is my spare. My garage is nasty.

I guess you should have told us you had 4 elephants in your garage. We could have helped you out a lot faster. At least I could have. Hope you have a good sale.

Some of you asked for pictures so here you go - this is just what is left in the garage.

Reading some of your comments has inspired me to do a PRE- garage sale day for those of you who live close by. Bring lunch, coffee, tea, your friends and you can go through what I don't want, I might even let you go through some of what I think I want to keep. I'll put out some of the things I have used it for to give you ideas, you may have your own.

HOLY COW! A lot of quilt shops don't even have 2,000 yds of fabric. BYW -- what is the sewing machine in the first pic?

The fabric is vintage pre 1980, mostly from the 70's all kinds of stuff and not much cotton. The machine is a Bernina.

Thought it was a Bernina. What model and how much will you be asking for it?
