I love to read. And have many "favorites".
Diane Gabaldon and the "Outlander" series (she's up to book 7, working on #8)
Anne Perry - 1800's mysteries set in London
Caroline Hart - Death on Demand series, Henrie O series
Agatha Christie
Lillian Jackson Braun - The Cat Who series
Clive Cussler - Mystery
Dean Koontz - his early work like "Lightning"
James Patterson
Patricia Cornwell - Scarpetta series
Nancy Atherton - Aunt Dimity mysteries
Colin Dexter - Inspector Morse books
Etc., Etc., Etc.
Give me a good mystery any old day.

Totally forgot Kathy Reichs-love all of the Temperance Brennan books. Didn't think I'd like the TV show but I'm hooked. Am I the only one who thinks there should be a dedicated channel for Bones running 24/7? Also like Jeffery Deavers Lincoln Rhyme books.

Fern Michaels, especially her Sisterhood Series. Also Debbie MacComber's Cedar Grove Series. They each have written many other books that are also good.

I like Jean Auel, Jennifer Chiaverini's, Anne McCafrey, also Barbara Kingsolver. I don't know if she has written anything new lately, but I just love her fiction.

Stephen King scares me! I can't read or see his stuff. And I think he should be nicer.

Right now I am reading - Sharyn Mc Crumb. Mystery with a touch of humor. Setting is Tennessee around early 18th century and up to the present. They have a Scots flavor.
