We have ONE nest about a half hour away can see in spring and fall before all leaves come out only occasionally actually glimpse the eagles!!- How privileged to be a part of this.

Gosh, sorry if I stated wrong info! Since I am from that area, and have seen the eagles myself many times during the summer, and received the pictures from a local, I didn"t think about it not being Alton. Never even questioned the background because of the river bluffs . Anyway, they were great to see, but I just hate giving wrong information. BTW, my BIL does live there, and he showed us still shots and a video he took of an eagle nest with babies in it. And it was in Godfrey,IL !!

You can go eagle watching on the Great River Road near Alton. People stop all along there to take pictures of the eagles. It's a popular pasttime in the area.

Awesome pictures. How wonderful of those men to feed the eagles. Can anyone tell me why the law prohibits anyone taking over that women's good work? Doesn't make sense to me, but what do I know?

I lived in Alaska we had a nest outside our home it was just amazing. Eagles are so beautiful i just love them!
