Was recently at hosp. for mamogram check up and told the tech I didn't think I could stand for the rest of the test. She suggested I go and see my primary care phys.( My insurance provider requires everything go throuhg primary care provider) Short ride. When I got there my pulse was 44. She sent me directly to ER for admisssion. They hooked me up to monitors and stared drawing blood. My pulse dropped to 27 with flat lines in between beats...too long flat lines. Put on pads for the paddles(if they were needed). Next day they transferred me to CMC in Manchester and finally put in a pacemaker. Back home and feel better EXCEPT for the horrible headaches(over a week). Keep taking Tylenol but it doesn't stay away. Might be allergic reaction to something they used...I have tons of allergies. I am glad you are better and hope I will soon be better.

With my heart attack I woke up from an afternoon nap with my left leg hurting and when I lookedat my foot it was blue.Thought it fell asleep and got up and stubbled to the BR, felt funny, then like throwing up. Called my husband in other room (never heard me before) and said I think I am having a Heart attack he said no way and I passed out and remember the Emt's in my Bedroom. My heart was 99% blocke and I had two stents put in the front valve.. 2 years ago and now I only tire easily. - J.

GOOD ADVICE! From my own experience: I have a number of risk factors for heart attack and a few months back woke with a pain in the middle of my back. I awoke my son, washed down an aspirin and went to the local ER. Although I did not have a heart attack, the symptoms were similar and a small "something" was located in my heart. I now add a cholesterol pill to my regimen and return for another look-see in the fall. I'd rather know than not!
