Thanks for the information. I was diagnosed in 1989 and was told it was just something I'd have to "live with". That was my diagnosis and prescription that day. Thank goodness for all of the treatment options that we have now.

You got it I WILL WEAR PURPLE!!!! In addition to Lupus my fibro is a real pain. Sometimes when I post and put "Duhs" in my messages it's cause I am having a fibro day. Hopefully they will find a cure and my granddaughters won't have to suffer like the rest of us. Have a great day!

I have suffered with fibro for almost 12 years now. My rhemotlogist :?: put me on a drug called Remmicade. I take the medicine once every 6 weeks. It is wonderful, its like getting an oil job. Every joint and muscle stop aching and you feel great. About the week before I am to take it again, I start having little pains and aches. Then they are gone again. The only problem is you have to go and sit for about 2 1/2 hours while the medicine drips through the IV.

Happy Thursday everyone
Wendy

Use to think Dr's and family thought I was crazy. The pain at times is terrible. Nothing really helps, can't walk too far without legs giving out. Will be happy to wear purple to help call attention to this.

I do:
60 mg of Cymbalta (to raise the serotonin levels)
50 mg of Lyrica (this may change when I go back to the rheum. doc on the 24th)

I'm also modifying my diet (sugar, caffeine, nutrasweet, etc.) and increasing the mobility of my spine.

Not a cure that's for sure but I'm working on finding a 'plan' that works for my body.

It is called Remmicade. It really makes you loose so there is not much pain left and some movements are easier, such as reaching for something. It has really helped me.
