If I can recall. Gastonia is not that far from Boone N.C. nor to blowing Rock. I know in Boone at Appalachia State University they have quilting classes so you might be able to hook up with a guild through them. Good luck on the move and I love that area of North Carolina.

I wish I had the wonderful friendship and relationship you have with your Mom. She's very blessed.

Congratulations on finding an awesome new home town. Sometimes moving to a new city is the best form of medicine to brighten our lives. I hope you and your mom find a warm and inviting guild and you enjoy your new life in your new city. Also bless you for staying close but not to close to your mother.

Wishing you the best for your move! I get to make my first trip to Mary Jo's and the thread warehouse next spring when I attend a big retreat in Charlotte with over 100 members of another board.

The Iredell County Senior Center in Mooresville has a guild. They meet a couple of times a month. We have quilters that come from Charlotte and Winston-Salem to the meetings. Come pay us a visit when you get moved.
