I'm orignally from East Moline, IL. Welcome to winter. It started raining last night, had about 1/4" on my car this morning. Now it's snowing heavier and blowing. Be safe and keep warm.

All of your weather has arrived in western New York. At 7 am there is about 4 inches on the ground, very windy and lots of blowing snow. I am headed for the sewing room! Going no where today!

Gee. Maybe I live in Iowa and not the backwoods of California like I thought. Our storm was supposed to show up three days ago, but didn't get started until the rain last night. It just started snowing about two minutes ago. No place to go on a Saturday, nothing to do except clean and quilt. The Christmas presents finally got packed up and sent off overnight (??) and the end of the world did NOT happen.

Merry Christmas all!!

Stay safe, snow-bees. We think we're freezing to death and it's 54. Oh well--welcome to our home. AC during the day and turn the heat on just a tad before going to bed. Strange weather patterns, we're having here.

Friends traveling from Chicago to Sioux City got stuck in Davenport for two days because of this storm. Funny in that three years ago her sister and husband spent two days in a motel in Atlantic, Iowa trying to get from Cincinnati to Sioux City. Neither of them listened to my son, a meteorologist, when he told them "not to travel."
