I have never bought the Old Navy flip flops, usually get the ones from WalMart. I live in those. Hate to wears shoes at all and flip flops are as close to going barefoot as I can get outdoors. Have been wearing them for at least 40 years so guess I'm used to them by now.

I am a flip flop-aholic. I wear them year round, but then I do live in South Florida :-D I have ones for indoors (slippers), rubber ones for wet days, casual everyday ones & dressy ones for special occasions. I have pricey leather name brand ones that I will cry when they wear out, I have $3 ones from Wally World that I love too. So it all depends on the styling, I tend to buy a lot of various materials and sole thickness until I hit on a winning pair & then I go buy all I can find like them. Maybe thats why I own at least 50 pairs

I love my flip flops. However, I don't buy the really cheap ones. My favorites have at thick foam soles, at least an inch thick at the toes, thicker at the heels. They are very comfy.

Who knew we all had such a love-hate relationship with flip flops?

I can't wear them. The thing between the toes really hurts. My solution is Crocs. If I'm not at work or church, that's what I wear.

Yet, they are so easy to slip on when I need to go outside or some place quick!

Can't understand why there's a problem wiht no support in flip flops. I heard it's good to go bare footed and you have no support there. I'm either barefooted or in flip flops most of the summer. I do wear shoes that cover my feet when I drive or shop since I've gotten older just to be cautous.
