It started raining in torrents a about 20 minutes ago so I clicked on the weather alert that I have at the bottom of my screen and it says we are in a "flood watch" for this area. By the sounds of it coming down out there, I can believe that we may just get washed away!

A good day to stay indoors and quilt!

How's your Saturday weather where you are at?

It's cold, misty and cloudy. Frankly our ground can't handle much more water.

Raining hard and windy! Need to check the basement now and then for water that may seep up through the floor. Otherwise, a good day for putting on a good movie (or two or three) and making the Janome just hum....
I started a new Dresden plate swap, so I am busy making blocks.

Its the "Dogwood" festival here today, so of course its cold and rainy. We got quite a bit of rain the other day, and we are deffinately experiencing a Cold Front.

I hope that the flood watch doesn't turn into a warning.

I remember many years ago in Milton on the Mud River. One of my uncles brought in to Grandma a lovely rocking chair that he'd seen floating down the rain swollen river. He'd thrown out a long rope with a hook on it and drug it in. I think they got a lot of things that way, from the chair to a little chicken coop, with chickens sitting on its roof.

Sure hope that you are above flood level, with this weather you never can tell just how much higher it will come than it did in the past.

Looks like we are going to get a hellacious thunderstorm later today. I have moved all my seedlings under cover and have boards to cover my planter boxes to save my tomatoes and lettuce in case it hails like it said it may.

It is 90 degrees here and dry just as the desert suppose to be. I just bathed the dog and brushed him in the sun. Don't get washed away. It was windy here last week about 45mph.

We have almost gotten blown away here in Upshur Co. Then guess what, more rain, surprise, surprise, surprise. I am up so high that I do not have to worry about deep flooding, just massive puddles everywhere, but if I want to go to town, I gots to go down. This has sure been a crazy weather year or so. We have been "in the box" for tornado watch several times lately, but luckily, just hurricane winds.
