I got my flu shot before April at the VA clinic in Tampa Fl.I had an appointment at the endocrinology clinic for blood work and Dr. visit to check levels . I had thyroid cancer in 1999 and my thyroid gland was removed because a cancerous tumor the size of a softball was the reason . It was caught before it had spread out of the gland.

This stomach bug is really wicked. I had it, then husband and grandson. For weeks after I would still get a wave of nausea wash over me a few times a day. I hope you feel better soon.

My DD has both right now. She was diagnosed as having pnemonia and a stomach virus, yesterday. I am worried abut her. I was she wasn't so far away.

Went to Calif for 2 wk vacation with daughter and familey. Arrived Sat. Sick by sunday nite. Stayed sick the full 2 weeks and it took over a week after I got home to get my strength back. Never fly on a weekend with a plane full ofkids..........I have had flu shot and pneumonia shot both.

Same here. My 5 year old and I both got it a couple weeks ago.
We had to cancel our whole vacation that was planned for spring break from school.
We were both sick for 7 days. Every symptom including fevers up to 103.8, headache, earaches, cough, sneezing, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Called the Dr. twice. They said don't come in, nothing we can do gotta ride it out.

My son & DDIL had it last month. In their 30's & they were very sick. They had to get meds from doc that helped some. It lasted about 1 &1/2 weeks--at least the worst of it.

I got hit harder than a board with a stomach and intestinal virus a couple of weeks back. I ended up dropping 15 lbs in 5 days, I couldn't keep water in me. Now it's the slow crawl back to somewhat normal this week, I feel for anyone that gets this I've never been this sick in years! DH said he knew how sick I was when I didn't even open my new issue of McCall's magazine lol
I hope your back on your feet soon! Why is it so much harder to recover from stuff at our age we're not over the hill yet, although I feel like someone shoved me down the hill
