Foal Watch For Patches

With a cow, the majority of afterbirth is born within an hour, two at the most .... then, the cow will "clean out" up to 2 weeks afterwards.
The point of taking the placenta to the vet would be to insure that ALL of it is out. If any piece gets left in, the chances for a horrible infection extremely likely... oops ... mom quit walking on baby!
Anyway, a piece left in will end up in infection and possible scarring that will render the female unable to get pregnant again.
Why did Kay want another filly?

That mare is worst than a pig as far as not being concerned about where her baby is when she is lying down, standing up, or rolling around!
My cows are more aware than that ...
horses are nice, but .... their mother instince seems a bit hmmm different! LOL

I downloaded them, then opened them with Paint. Once they're open in Paint, I do a "Save As" & save them as JPGs. That way they'll show up here -- I guess bitmap files are too big.
