Thru the years I had 2 litters of kittens born to young moms and the male neutered cats we had at the time were the very best nannies when the moms would ignore them other than feeding them. The males even looked harder for them when they went to new homes. A cat that "found" it's way to my place delivered 5 kttens last night. This is the 3rd litter born here in last 2 years. People do not seem to mind dropping cats at strangers homes. Thank goodness I have found a clinic I can get them fixed rather cheaply. Kittens are so fun, but hate that people are irresponible about getting them neutered or spayed. Take care.

What a great idea to put kittens in foster care to grow up a little---and get really well socialized in the process! I'm sure it makes them easier to adopt out....

I think i need to spend some time with just my Male cat and this foster mom. I think if they got use to each other Peej would really make a great nanny/daddy. He is so respectful and scared of Carmella though. Time to get those two in a room alone with me lol.

We have been a foster family for 16 years and it never gets old. We have raised over 250 kittens. Yes it is hard because sometimes you lose a sick one, and you do have to give them back but it is a celebration of them finding their forever homes. In 15 years there has only been 1 that I made me cry when she left.

You are so good to do this. I don't know how you'll be able to give them up! They are all so cute, I'm sure they will make someone really happy when they go to new homes.

Just catching up with posts...I luv the kittens...I'm also a foster parent in S. Florida and have been doing it for 8 years. I still cry when I take them back even tho' I know they'll be going to good homes....It's so rewarding.
