janRn: I know what you mean about husband being around. I just retired and I am the one around all day! He's been retired and is set in his ways. Lots of fun.

JanRN, I understand what you mean about the too much togetherness. Jorge and I used to work at the same place and often drove separate cars because it got to be too much to live, work, and drive together. Now we are both unemployed and even though I love it when he makes lunch, (I forget it if he is not there), I still need my ME time.

Maride-I think it is so cool that you are going to funeral school!! I want to be a mortician when the kids get older!! I also have 3 kids! Great thing you did for your hubby (gave him a kidney) And although it maybe selfish I would've wanted him around to help raise the kids too!!

Ma Maw B, I am glad you got tired of lurking and decided to join the fun.

Mom of 3 You have a full time job for sure. My daughter has three children and that makes me glad I only had two. Funeral school sounds interesting. It takes a special person to do that job, I think you must be a compassionate caring person to want to do that job.

Momof3Es, you don't need to wait. I am doing it now because I lost my job, but if you are really interested, you can do it slowly on-line. My school offers the course on line and then you come to NY for 2 weeks to to the laboratory (embalming). I can send you the information if you are interested. You can even use a student loan if you take 6 credits or more on-line.

mtngirl, I love Canada. Learned to drink Ice Cider there. Would have it again any time.

I've never heard of Ice Cider, which part of Canada were you in?

Mtngrl - we have some things in common (besides quilting!) I live in Michigan right now but we have property in Canada where we will be going when my husband retires. (I am retired now). I'm hoping to convince him to head south for winter months. And yes, I also spend too much time on here instead of quilting. My computer was on the blink for the last few months and I spent a lot more time in my sewing room. Now it's fixed and here I sit.... telling myself I'll go sew in another half hour. LOL
