I know what you mean about the pictures. Now that my husband has retired he has transferred all the slides and pictures onto CD's and given a copy of all of our siblings and extended family to our children.
For my 63rd birthday he put all of our family holidays, trips, birthday parties, etc. on a DVD with music so I can watch it on TV.
I LOVE it.
