Thanks - I agree there are soo many different ways of making venison. Myself - I dont eat it. I have tried it and just dont like to taste no matter how its seasoned - but to each their own lol I am just glad the kids have the meat and enjoy eatiing it!!

I make summer sauage and meat sticks and grind the meat and make jerky less pull on the teeth.
Also have made it with goose, bear,elk,bufflo and goat

I prefer dried fruit.
No added salt etc.

I use my dehyrator for drying herbs! I can't wait to make some elk jerky next year. Once our fruit trees get some fruit, you bet I will be making dried fruit as well!

Two deer, that is wonderful.

Agree with mayday and DebsShelties, except hunting them for food. When I lived in SD, had deer in my back yard all of the time. There was a tree in the corner of my long, very narrow yard, they would rest under. I would talk to them from my window.
