We stopped buying paper napkins. I have a washing machine. I inherited some plain cloth napkins & I sew up some when the mood strikes. A good gift. Making some with chili peppers pattern for my favorite Chicana!

I did the same thing a long time ago. The one thing is that you don't realize how many paper towels you use until you use fabric. I have probably 50 fabric napkins and I wash them all the time. For me it was a way to save money that turns out to be green in the long run. My neighbor gave me some paper towels when she was moving out and I ended up not using them. Got too used to fabric.

Super. This I did learn in 7th grade. Thank you Miss McKinney!
She also taught me to put in a zipper & wouldn't let us make our shirts too tight!

As an art teacher, I became the queen of tie dye. So think of that if your leftover fabric is boring or stained. I use procion dye & it stays bright forever!
