Do you have an idea where you will be in Va Beach or are you waiting until you get here? I'll be glad to give some insight on different neighborhoods if you want to pm me.

Tink knows I love her and would NEVER let anything happen to her.
No idea as of a place to live yet. Have to wait until we get there. Hopefully we will have a place within a week of arriving there, but will see. I don't like hotel living, so finding a place quickly would be nice, but according to "the powers that be", our furniture won't be available for delivery until June 8

I lived in Dallas for a month in a 2 bdrm apt with just a tv tray, a tv, a clock radio, a microwave, and a lawn chair. Oh yeah, I had a sleeping bag, quilt, and pillow. It was home though.

I know about waiting on furniture. Is there somewhere you can rent furniture for a month?

Just wanting you to be comfy....

    Hugs,
    MJ

We have to wait until we get to VA to see what is going on. I'm hoping our stuff is already there and waiting on us. It should be, we shipped it early enough, but the paperwork says June 8th or something like that. Will wait and then call once we find a place to live.
We have lived on air mattresses, boxes for tables and blankets/pillows for chairs. Just like camping! lol

We built our house in '01 and, long story short, moved in 12/15. We brought the dining table and chairs and pots and pans so we could have Christmas. We tossed all the empty boxes in the formal living room and peeled off the stickers on the windows and had our first holiday in our home. So what if we slept on an air mattress and when we were done with the tree we opened the patio door and tossed it out- down 9 feet to the ground.

It makes for good memories- I'm sure you must have some good ones from all your moves Terri- what's your favorite one?

I'm in VA now. At the Navy Lodge in Little Creek/Virgina Beach.
Have a bit of running around to get done, mainly Housing Office so we can check in there and HOPING they have a place for us. If not, it's off to call a realtor or 2 so we can find a place.
