I love seeing where people are from, pics of their quilts and pets, recipes, and quotes/mottos at the bottom of their posts. I guess, for me, it's kind of like when I meet someone in person. I always want to know something about them to get a feel for who they are. Where you grew up, where you've lived, things you like, etc. I feel a little disappointed when their location is listed as "in my sewing room" although I completely respect their right to privacy. There are so many nice, helpful folks on this board. I usually check in at least once a day.

I see that you are from SL, NJ. A quick story about bird watching. First time I drove through this pretty town I spotted my very first American Coot at the little lake. I was thrilled and will never forget it. I haven't seen one since

so SL has a special place in my heart.

OMG..someone came through our little town and remembers it. We are so small, it's easy to go through it and into the next little town without realizing you have been in and out of it...but we love it....It's nice to have all the visitors during the summer season but really nice in the fall when it's back to us "year-rounders".......although that has increased soooo much in the last 20 years. do stop around again some time.
