Tha bad news: Price of gas means you won't be able to afford to GET to Walmart to buy that fabric!!!

Make it a once a month trip, get groceries etc while you are there to make the trip worthwhile.

I am very glad to have a local Walmart.
Even tho I'm broke as a joke I was just in there on saturday and while waiting for an oil change I was petting fabric.
There were 2 free patterns . . . one quilt of the month
and one for spring with butterflys on it super cute!!
and the April QOM for a 92X92 pattern was under $30.00 for all material.
so yeah for all those getting fabrics back!!

Well, we can always walk anyway.
I walk all the time, good for the soul.

We do -- we live 30 miles from the nearest Walmart - and Albertson's (a grocery store) is next door to it. So --we already manage our trips.

As for walking -- NO way!!! It's 1 1/2 miles from our house to the DQ -- and nothing in between....kinda blows the idea of exercise when you walk to the DQ and get a big ice cream cone!!! ROL

talked to a lady today that just opened a small fabric store, she claims she has spoken to the MAIN man at WM who assured her that our local WM would NOT be getting any fabric back. He told her that only WM's that had made money on fabric and were in RURAL areas with less than 10,000 population would be getting fabric back!

Our WM fabric ALWAYS made money..tons of it..we are the largest town in 100 miles with nothing but rural towns around us...ALL who have 4-H, scouts, homeschooling, etc...

My Walmart has bolts of fabric but they are not fabric that could be used in a quilt. More like dressmakers fabrics. And a very limited amount of them.
