Default Gotta love Selvage "Ribbon"

I love to save a few festive colored salvages or 1/2 " strips from cute fabric. I just adore using them as ribbons on presents. This week is Teacher Appreciation and I volunteered to wrap all the little gifts that students in my son's (tiny) class brought in secretly for their homeroom teacher. Her favorite color is yellow--which just so happens to be a color of leftover wrapping paper I've been hoping to use up.

A win for decluttering more of my crAft supplies and blessing a terrific teacher to boot! (The flowers are mine, in case you noticed that they aren't at the peak of freshness for giving.)

What a lovely array of gifts! Great way to use those scraps! As for the flowers, I think we have all gotten so used to store bought and gotten it into our heads they have to be "perfect"...just not how it should be in my opinion. Your flowers are lovely in their "imperfection"...

What a neat idea to use selvedges for the bows. I bet the teacher was thrilled to get the gifts for teacher appreciation day. Your flowers are beautiful & I know she loved them.

I use selvedges for all sorts of things: tying up tomato plants, making stacks of magazines behave, anything that needs to be corralled.
