OMG a couple months back my viking 990 died(so I thought) even my hubby looked at it (he does CARS, lol) and he felt so bad that he went online while i was gone and found me a kenmore that said it was made for quilting. we bought it cause he said it was self-defense! I love it, it works great. So this morning I set the old machine up on the kitchen table and my son found a way to pry the bobbin off(was stuck on the spindle) and after it came off the whole machine works!!!! Im thinking I need some body armour before I tell him. . .I do have to tell him, right??

Yes, you really should tell him. However, the Kenmore is a nice back-up machine. So, it's not a wast of money, right?

congrats on the old machine now working. if DH complains, you could mention that he had the opportunity to fix it before he found a new one for you :)

Well he was the one who found the Kenmore not your idea. I would tell him but I would remind him of that big fact.
Good luck!!

That's great that your son found a way to remove the bobbin! Yes, you should definitely tell your hubby. Have you already set up and used the Kenmore? It's not like the new one was $2000, right?

Yes tell him. He must be a great guy to jump in and see that you had a new one so soon. Tell him how great it is to have a good backup one as most quilter's have more than one.
