I've had so many of those days! I usually just take a break and come back a few days later! If I don't....I just get more and more frustrated! Hope your sewing days are going better for ya now!

I toast you with a Pepsi for seeing it through! Your helpers look like they could be a statue.

Just think of the satisfaction of getting it done- job well done!

The valances turned out great! Your helpers seem a bit confused by the change, but I am sure they approve, too.
Sometimes when I have a run of everything going wrong like that, I simply go outside and scream really loud once. Makes me feel 100% better, and seems to scare Murphy away.

Thanks! I took today off -- went shopping. Got DH a universal remote control (thanks to those on the board that mentioned it on another thread!). Well, he THINKS it's for him......I LOVE it!!!

Tomorrow I'll be beading with girlfriend --- or if she doesn't come, I'll finish the other curtains.

I had to laugh out loud. I LOVE and collect vintage fabric. (eBay is my porn site) and bought some great kitchen fabric with a 1950's feel a month or so ago to make kitchen curtains in my mid-century mod kitchen. Of course, I didn't even think to make sure the fabric was enough when I started. So I made the cafe curtains and valance for the table- side windows, and then found I had less than a yard for the windows over the sink. Doh! So, I went back into my stash, found a part of a coordinating solid yellow sheet, and made the curtains using my good fabric as a 6 inch border.

Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. I'm also a barkcloth nut, and so I often have almost enough fabric to do something with. I mix and match...
