...and I'm not happy. 7 yes 7 semis y-jacked on the highway in one long line. Closed the blinds so I don't have to look at it. Sons working from home. Schools all doing distance learning (or un-learning). So guess I'll keep on sewing.

We traveled from Tulsa, Ok to northern Az and came thru a blizzard in Amarillo, Tx. Unbelievable and amazed at how fast the storm traveled. Visibility was almost 0. I am glad to be home and in my cozy sewing room

. I'm glad I had snow most times growing up. I built snowmen, had snowball forts, went sledding, had snow days from school and made snow ice cream. Now that I'm older I don't care for snow or the hassle it brings to daily life.
You are so right about the unlearning. Neighbor kept her child at home when the school reopened. The child did the online class work and thought she was doing fine, her work was correct, but she failed all the final tests. She is now back in school trying to catch up. Schools started in August with Fridays off for cleaning.

We'll gladly take your snow, Julie, we've had a couple dustings, but that's about it, and there's not any kind of moisture in the near forecast and we desperately need some kind, and we don't particularly what, just some kind of moisture.

No snow here yet. We live elevated (on a high hill) St. Louis and other lower areas got a good dusting, we did not.
We have a 4x4 truck and front wheel drive car so not a problem for us. Plus being retired we can pick and choose when we go out.

Yes, you wouldn't expect snow in TX, AZ, NM and all along the southern coast but it happens. I'm in IA and we're only had a dusting of snow so far. The temps have dropped drastically though. Yesterday it started out aorund 14 and got up to 47 making it a pleasant day to go out and take a walk. This morning its at 24 and I will be walking down to my massage appt at 8:30 usually not so pleasant when the sun isn't shining just yet.
