The retirement reception for our school district employees is this afternoon and I'm one of the retirees. I'm so excited. 7 more days to FREEDOM!!! I've loved my job, but am ready to get caught up on some projects and SEW!!!

Congratulations. How exciting. As Marjpf said, Now onto the next Chapter of your life. You may find yourself busier after retiring than before. LOL

I am also a retired teacher and June marks two years.

I loved my job but have to tell you that retirement has been absolutely great! Every Wednesday, I volunteer in a Kindergarten to get my "kid fix" but I no longer worry about reports, lesson plans and being so tired!

Best of luck to you. (It sounds to me like a shopping trip to stock your stash is in order.........)
