I loved my job but have to tell you that retirement has been absolutely great! Every Wednesday, I volunteer in a Kindergarten to get my "kid fix" but I no longer worry about reports, lesson plans and being so tired!
Best of luck to you. (It sounds to me like a shopping trip to stock your stash is in order.........)
Me too Joan! And I couldn't be happier! Did you teach Kindergarten? I did for 18 years and 12 years of Special Needs before that. In Newfoundland we can retire after 30 years of service. I was 49 when I retired!!Originally Posted by Joan

I taught Special Ed. Preschool, lots of 3,4, and 5 year old. Initially, I taught 5th and 6th grade, which was okay but my greatest love are those little guys!Originally Posted by Mamagus

I've got so many quilt patterns in my mind that I don't know where to start. I've got a memorial quilt in process that I need to finish before starting anything else. Then, who knows???Originally Posted by CarrieAnne
Congrats! Think of all the great quilts you'll be able to make now!
