I hate to admit it, but I have had to use a razor blade to get the ring from around the sink. Even with daily cleaning, we get hard water and mineral deposits built up around it. Nothing works, not even CLR.

I will remember cucumber juice.

I have tried the denture tablets in the toilet bowl, sans dentures...(I'm still of my right :?: mind)

Once the glaze is scratched the stain becomes impossible to remove because it works into the porcelain. Which is why I stopped using the pumice stone.
Might give the cucumber a try...and if it seems to work I'll plant a couple hills.

That CLR did a number on me....very caustic product...couldn't even hardly breathe with the smell. Gave it to my husband to keep in the garage. Oddly enough I use that bathtub cleaner Scrubbing Bubbles and although it doesn't remove all of it...it does help a lot. I too am very interested in finding a method that won't kill me in the process of cleaning.

Ace Hardware sells this little pad with foam on one side and mesh on the other side. They come two to a pack and work fine for me.
