Congratulations! So nice that you got a job in your field, and the store manager sounds nice, too.

Congratulations. It's a win-win situation. The company is lucky and has made the right decision.
This is the end of June, and we had a thunderstorm yesterday in Northern CA, it must have been your jumping that shook the sky up. LOL

Thankfully it is not a fabric store!!! LOL It is a family owned electronics store. Long hours 9-7 -50 hrs a week. (NOT complaining) I already have enough fabric to fill literally an 8x10 room to the ceiling. My projects that I had started I am now putting them into see thru bags so I can readily keep track of which I need to finish first. As for the emotional security. You really start to question your personal worth and values when you have person after person turn you away. Some of the people that interviewed me were rude to the point of being mean. I sometimes wondered how they got and keep their position.

i'm so glad you got something decent. my sister lost her job as an office manager with a DYFS-related company and couldn't get anything in her field. she started looking for customer service jobs and everything came with strings. employers think that people are so desperate that they can offer the butt end of a bunny and call it a job. the last job she interviewed for told her that part of the job was to clean down the mens' and ladies' rooms. that was the final straw. since she was three months short of 62, she stopped looking.

working for a small, family business is the best of all. they sound like really decent people. i know you'll be happy there. good luck.
