Love that idea!! I have all three girls' wedding, prom and bridesmaids dresses in the closets upstairs. Along with many many other things. maybe a couple of them will get a nicely wrapped box for Christmas!!!!

Some of those clothes would make really nice Christmas ornaments. Things like wedding dresses, etc. are great.

OMG I feel your PAIN. Our daughter moved to college in 2007. Now lives in her own place. We have all her things still here. Everytime I see her (which is often) I ask her when she will come and get all her things. She looks at me like I am from mars.I keep saying "ONE of THESE DAYS". :-)

Kept most of my kids "better" stuff for them after they left home. Once they started having their own kids I started giving it back to them but kept some of the toys so the grandkids would have something at my home to play with.

When me husband and I married we had our two apartments to get things from and then both parents houses also. We rented a big moving truck and went from place to place. When we finally made it to our home and started to unpack we would look at each other and ask, 'Is this your's?'. Seems the parents had not only sent all our stuff but a lot of theirs also.

My daughter cleaned out all her stuff when she moved out but her 2 older brothers still have lots of stuff here. Mostly stuffed in a spare bedroom in the basement. I'd love to get that stuff out. They've been out of the house for years! Our baby is a Marine and his bedroom still sits ready for him. Thinking of possibly switching rooms with him though. It's a bigger room than my sewing room.

She'll wish for the dolls when she has little girls of her own. I have 5 grand-daughters here and they've all played with mommy's dolls and toys. When the last one is old enough to not want to play with them, they are going somewhere else!
