This morning I was making 2 baby quilts for recently born grand nieces, fabrics were 30's repo baby prints in mint and a sweet light orange and I added white as accent. Had just enough of the print fabrics to make the blocks, borders and binding but thought quilts looked too small. Good old white came to the rescue as a 2 1/2" inner border. Brightened the quilts up considerably as well as making them larger. May in Jersey

I love love love white background quilts. I think it makes everything look so cool and crisp! I'm actually doing my Dear Jane with a white background. :)

I am another one that just loves white in quilts. I love Kona Snow for my 30's fabric & Civil War. Well I really use mostly Natural for CW fabrics but the white just makes everything pop. And shows off quilting stitches better.
