If it were at my house, it would be on top of my 1950's double bed with a pretty pink sheet under it. It's in a guest room so no one could mess it up.

I have a crocheted rosette bed cover that looks similar, except no rounded ends. It has followed me around the country for 43 years. My great grandmother made it and I've never had a place to use it. I would think yours would be for a twin bed.

It is gorgeous! I crochet and to think of the hours spent doing this one - WOW! I am so glad you found it, appreciated it, and brought it home to treasure!

I have three bed crocheted bed covers that my grandma made. I am very pleased to have them.

When I first read and saw your post I knew it was a coverlet to go on top of probably a double bed. It is beautiful and I hope you put it to good use.

I believe what you have is a coverlet for a twin bed.. I have one similar that was made by my grandma.. They lived in the desert near Palm Springs and slept in twin beds o
n an enclosed porch... She always kept those beds made up with nice covers since they were in a public area of the house rather than the bedroom.. The curved end goes to the foot of the bed, the stright end covers the pillow.. I alway loved that look.. I believe she had a bed skirt on each bed so the crocheted spread didn't go down as far as a bedspread might. Try it on a twin bed, it will look wonderful.
