I was wondering, since we are all over the world on this site... if there is anyone who can recommend good books to use to learn to start reading in Spanish and in Japanese. My second major is Multi-language and my two main languages are Spanish and Japanese with a third language yet to be discovered (choices are French, Arabic or German... unless my school magically starts offering Italian.)
I want to take this summer to start learning to read in Spanish and Japanese... I start my Japanese classes in June and the next level of Spanish in Fall (level 201). Any suggestions would be wonderful! Also if you could point me in the direction of where I could find them too would be great!
Ve, Perro, Ve (Go Dog Go)
El Gato en el Sombrero (The Cat in the Hat)
I know these ones and plan on buying them soon, most of the Dr. Suess books that I like are on the list of ones to buy. Though if you know where I can get them in Japanese for inexpensive, let me know please! (Amazon is ridiculous... and Ebay was no help.)

Well, since YOU mentioned children's books, here are some auctions currently on ebay:
Spanish:
http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=chi....c0.m270.l1313
Japanese:
http://books.shop.ebay.com/Children-...=p3286.c0.m282
Just watch the S&H to make sure it's Media Mail. It can get pricey but worth it.
Last year, I helped my mother's aide buy a lot of books for her children on ebay- the condition of the books varied but all were readable. Hey, kids used them. But she ended up with, like, 70 Dr. Seuss books for under $30. Can't beat that. And her kids LOVED their little personal library.
I have to say, the thought of you adding Arabic to your repertoire made me laugh. Then you'd be reading left to right, right to left and top to bottom. I get a headache just thinking about it.
Good luck with your studies.

I'm a Spanish teacher. Feel free to PM me anytime. :)
If I were you, I'd go with:
Buenas noches, luna (Goodnight Moon)
la oruga mas hambrienta (The Very Hungry Caterpillar)
I'll look through the library in my classroom on Monday for you!

Can you recommend a way to remember verb conjugations?

Where the heck was this thing when I was in high school?
Wow...

I do remember something about a boot shape. But as it was decades ago, that's all I got. ;-)
