Yup, 50 is only a number, and when your 52 you'll think, gee I'd like to be 50 again, lol! ;)
I love the bridge and how sweet of DH!
I like those sweet and simple presents that you really wanted to, doesn't take lots of money or fancy things to make the mouse happy :D

    Awesome! That's a great present!
I won't let my husband touch power tools any more... it's just not a pretty picture....
Let's not talk about the bat house he made 11 years ago.... yeah... bad...

Happy Birthday, Barnbum. Isn't it great when you get what you really want for your Birthday. That was so special for your Husband to make the bridge for you.

My special gift, when I was 60, was a pair of rollerblades.
It really didn't matter that I couldn't rollerblade - just the fact that my husband asked and then got them for me made my birthday perfect.

I'm so glad you got your bridge!!!

My perfect birthday gift was when I turned 60. DH planned a surprise party for me. He even had my Mother and three out of state brothers come. Tons of friends. He planned this for months and I had no idea. One friend that was in on it told me she was apolizing for the months of lies she told me.

Happy belated birthday. What a great bridge. Homemade gifts are the best - straight from the heart.

Happy Birthday! My hubby made us both a dresser.....we didn't have one. SO this is it...took him a while. All oak. He loves to build furniture.

I'm a bit confused here!? I thought the bridge was supposed to be for the minis to cross over in the obstacle course? Doesn't a "bridge" allow someone/thing to cross from one point to another where there's a separation?? This looks like a bridge for the people from the assisted living facilities that visit to watch the minis in the obstacle course? Am I wrong, or did your husband not "hear" you or think you wanted a bridge for the assisted living visitors? I think I hear a little "sarcasm" in your post and I would agree!! Men - too, too funny! Anyway, Happy Birthday!
