I agree with you. Actually, the only decent shows are about quilting and sewing. The rest of what is on television is garbage and bad language and death. Glad to hear that others feel as I do.

I hardly watch tv period any more either. I too, loved Carol Duvall and Alex's quilting show. I think I still have some episodes saved on VHS. And I also agree that most of what is on tv nowdays is mindless crap!(Excuse my French!) I would rather spend my tme sewing or checking out this board and lerning new things or just seeing other's beautiful work.

I am stuck with an "artsy" rushed 30 min. program and on the other program the "host" can't be quiet for a minute all the while she is constantly taking stuff out of everyone elses hands and totally "repeats" what the guest has just said..... I so miss Alex Anderson and Eleanor Burns

Just do a search and you'll find most of them online and you can watch at your convenience......
That would be so Grand! however; on "dial-up" it takes forever to "load" one program( 3 secs of program and ages of "buffering".... and on "dial-up" the least little bit of noise on the phone line kicks you off the "Net" and you have to start all over again......"this is me Growling" :|
