Most of the people who get houses done are employed by Baylor University, where Chip & jo went to college.

Love the show. Love her decorating but sometimes his silliness drives me away.

I love the show, and don't know anything about what the people do with their houses afterward, but even with the good shows if they have good ratings they are bringing in a bundle from that alone.

I, too, love the show. It is the only one of the decorating shows that create places I would like to live. I am glad they are able to help revitalize Waco -- it has been years since I was there but I remember a nice town. It is really too bad that folks try to capitalize on their good name to make money.

I miss not being able to watch the show. They are an intertaining couple and it matters not about the owners or what they do with the property, you see very little of the owners on the show. I have limited cable and this is one show that I do miss watching

This would make since why they would do all of this. When you get your home decorated from an interior design person you would pay for the furniture, etc. If they didn't pick the homes carefully, who would want to watch if it failed going in blindly. I get ideas, I'm entertained and who could ask for more.

When Chip and JoJo show their clients the three properties from which to select for renovation, the client most often speak of entertaining friends and family, family and home. I have not heard one of them say, "we intend to turn the property into a B&B". To me, this borders on deception by withholding this info. Yes, the property is ultimately theirs to do as they please, they pay for the talent of the Gaineses, but I do think some are less that honest about their intention.

PS: They now have a line for furniture and accessories under the name of Magnolia and I believe their prices are very reasonable. Selection is outstanding.
