We woke up to a heat wave...29 degrees. It's been in the single digits the past few days. The birds are squabbling at the feeder.

I am 2400 miles northwest of Chicago, and today we are at -11°C, 12°F, so a very nice day for us.

Cold enough to make ice cubes outside!

Seriously, it is in the low 30's F. Supposed to get snow flurries this afternoon. Have about 2 inches on the ground from yesterday.

To all of you who aren't used to the cold...bundle up if you have to go outside! Better yet...stay inside and quilt!

Here in Wisconsin, dh just went outside to get the snowblower out for the driveway. He said with the wind chill (very windy today) it's about -20 degrees F. I didn't go out yesterday and probably won't go out today either. Don't want to have car trouble on a rural road in this weather.

I think we are still below zero. It's supposed to warm up to 15 degrees by Thursday.

I think it is in the 30's. 2 Days ago it took my 4 men 2 days to go a 5hr. drive. Horrible. Must have been thousands of people stuck on the road West of Ft. Worth Tx. for 2 or 3 days.
