My husband and I met on the internet, through a Christian dating website. As "how you met" stories go, it's not really that romantic, but it sure has worked out well. :)

We were at college and he came up and asked if he could buy me a drink, in our little pub, and I said sure. I was celebrating my 19th birthday and one of my friends had told him. We starting dating the next week and have been married 14 years and dated for 5 years before that . I ahve officially been with him half my life this year! WOW!

I was dating a GI stationed in England. He brought my future husband to meet my girlfriend. Didn't quite work so future husband brought a friend of his to date her. They hit it off and I dumped my date and started seeing him. (complicated)Girl friend was 15 and I was 17. We married and came to live in US
Friends married 54 years and my husband and I 53 years. Can you imagine letting your daughter move 4,000 and more away from home at that age. I know I wouldn't think of it.We had already finished school and were working. What an adventure it seemed to us, we heard the streets were paved with gold. (Not) We are happier now than ever and have stuck together through thick and thin. Still get together twice a year.Still great friends.

In a divorce recovery class at our church. Both our marriages had ended in July, we met at the class in September, and started dating in January. A year and a half later we got married and just recently celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. Guess we both recovered LOL.

What a great topic; so fun reading everyone's story!
I met my husband at work...simply put, I married the boss!!
We have shared that position, being together 24/7 for 30 years!
