Met on a blind date while I was in high school and he was a college freshman. His roommate was dating a friend of mine. The two roomies were coming to my town and there was a church youth group activity that weekend. My friend asked if I'd go out with him - she said that he was shy and wouldn't talk, but that I could talk enough for the both of us. That was 41 years ago and and we've been married 37 of them.

Oh - the youth event was a Halloween Party. So I either "bewitched" him or ... drove him batty!. :)

LOL that was 54 years ago so I guess we are stuck now.

I poured coffee on his lap to get his attention.
It worked, our son was 43 this spring. We were married 39-1/2 years when I lost him.

Honest, I dumped coffee on him. I was a car hop right across from where he worked, and his crew kept telling me how nice he was. And how fair he was to them, and since they had stayed with him for almost 15 year or more, I listened, looked and liked.

They were right, he was a dear man and I'll always miss him.

My best friend Jennifer from high school met my (now husband) on a BBS - bulletin board system. This was pre chat room; the very beginnings of the internet. They made plans to go to a show at a nightclub. Jennifer invited me to come along but I kept saying no. Finally, I broke down and agreed to go. When we pulled up to his parents' house he was standing outside and it was love at first sight for me. We talked and danced all night.

A couple of days later I was at his house again and I was looking at some of his books. He had put his initials inside one of them. I noticed that we have the same first and middle initials and that if I ever married him we would have the same exact initials. That cinched it for me! I knew he was the one. A few days later on April 19th we had our first date (I still have the movie ticket stub). Exactly one year from that date on April 19th, 1997 we were married.
