    52 years. He was the almighty senior and I was a lowly freshman in High School. He went into the Coast Guard in 1956, we were engaged my sophomore year and married right after I graduated from High school. He stayed in for 30years , plus. Now retired in Oregon. Don't miss military life at all. Glad to be settled down. Jan

    For those who were told it wouldn't last because we were so young or because we were married after a short engagement------Its sad to say but all the nay sayers have passed away and didn't live to see how long our marriages have lasted
