Not an "Iowegian" - just an "Iowan". Live in SE between Ottumwa & Bloomfield. Was raised between Ottumwa & Albia. Have lived here most of my life.

You're not that far from me. I live in Salem.We used to go to Bloomfield when the antique store was there.

Eastern Iowa here! Born in Dubuque and lived for a short time in Missouri. Wonderful state but it just wasn't HOME.
Am now about 40 miles South of Dubuque

My half-sister lives in Des Moines, does that count? I lived in Missouri Valley and Crescent and Council Bluffs for a few years. Went back 20 years later for a funeral and, except for a couple of traffic lights, NOTHING had changed. Kind of eerie.

Me I'm from good old Iowa. Where the tall corn grows. Go back every so often. Wouldn't want to live there in the winter again. Don't know how we did it. Younger I guess.
