well, those poor snakes don't necessary like a lot of water either. they want to find a dry place. just hopefully not in someone's house.
flood waters aren't always safe. I always am amazed at people who just go out walking or swimming in them. not me!

queensland+new south wales have it realy bad--- under water is an area the size of germany and italy combined --large towns and small already devestated by years of drought now weeks and weeks unable to earn as mines under water shops under water crops ruined------many many could not afford or not get flood insurance--they are going to need all our prayers and as much help as we can give--imagin the clean up ahead of them the loss of family treasures---this they say is greater than the 1 in 100 year floods hey aussie has only been settled for 200 years we need our idigenous peoples to educate us more but as always we know better!!

Our East coast has been devastated by floods, here in the West we have had the driest winter on record....for days the temperatures have been in the high 30's and rising to 40C. Today here in Perth it's not too bad...the temp has dropped and we have had a few showers of much needed rain. It won't help the dams much, but at least it will wet the ground a bit and help the flora and fauna survive. We live in the Darling Ranges, surrounded by trees and bushland. Our biggest fear at this time of year is bushfire.

Thoughts and blessings to anyone on the East coast going through a tough time....'specially those in Rockhampton or Theodore.

Snakes...yikes! That would drive me out in any conditions...

Hope everyone is doing OK, this weather we're hearing about around the world is crazy and devastating.
