Default HP Cartridges

FYI: I have had great success ordering from 4inkjets.com. They use remanufactured cartridges that last a long time, also have "new cartridges" and their prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommend them

Default xl still available

I think the regular size is being discontinued but the xl is not. I checked HP web site could not find regular but did find 75xl and 74xl.

I bought a laser printer on sale at Walmart for $130. I'm on my second pack of printer paper and haven't changed the initial cartridge, I use the old ink jet when I need to print freezer paper or other specialty printing.

Smile HP Printer cartridges

They have 'fixed it' so the refilled cartridges usually will not work and no amount of trying work-arounds helped enough, so I reluctantly went back to paying the exorbitant cost of HP ones.

Am I supposed to be happy enough about this that I go out and buy another HP printer? Or is there some other reason these are discontinued that I just don't know about?
Try Amazon. I believe they had both the 74 & 75 cartridges.

The printer remains quite serviceable and I don't want to dump. I have bought the XL cartridges in the past, but did not feel that I got that many more pages.

I am curious about what you're printing on freezer paper, tho. Patterns? Sewing? Quilting? Print on non-shiny side, I presume?

I feel your pain. I had a HP Laserjet 1020 and the toner cartridges were about $120 each. I was able to buy them afor2/$160 and use a coupon as well a few years ago. I moved and also got a new computer and the printer didn't work. So I bought an HP inkjet. Ink doesn't last nearly as long but it still is cheaper.
BTW - in all the kerfufful.... I think the printer didn't work because it never was plugged into the wall? But the printer was long gone when I discovered that!
The Laser printer was also nearly 20 years old. Bought when the lasers went common and cheap!
