They do love the water- they become the most active on cooler days when we have rain and living just north of Seattle we do have rain.

I have actually had them perch on me, and at least one will come tell me when the feeder is empty, hovering in my face and chirping.

My folks had a mobile home with a 20' window across the front. On the awning they had several hummingbird feeders. They would laugh about how much time they spent watching the little birds flitting from feeder to feeder- cheapest entertainment ever!

We have 3 feeders here at camp in the ADK. Had a visitor Saturday night who took all of them down. Mr Bear or momma bear then went and did the same. So now they go out at 8am and in at dusk. One hummer almost came into the camp when I opened the door to hang them! They are a blessing!

Marvelous creatures...they can fly backward, forward, do figure 8's...just amazing. Thanks for sharing these photos.
