Ouch. If you are right-handed, that's gonna suck for a while. Benefit is now you will be left-handed for a while - welcome to the "dark" side. :P

that is not good, heal fast so you can get back to what you love, I am always hurting myself it seems like because my brain is in other places than what I am doing at that point...

Oh, you poor thing. How big is Charlie? LOL OK, I know it's not funny, but I have this mental picture...giggle, giggle!!!
OK, will stop laughing now, what on earth do they do for a broken thumb, I know if it's a finger they can tape it to the one next to it, but the thumb...that's kinda out there on it's own! Can't imagine having to tug on upholstery material..can hubby help?

Ouch! It is amazing how important a body part becomes when we cant use it. Hope it gets better soon.

Ow, that hurts, do you have a plastic splint? A sore thumb is like a sore toe, it is a target!!! Ice today, then ice, heat. Takes awhile to heal.
