Congrats! I have retired twice now, but will probably take a part-time job at some point just as something else. I'm still not getting as much done quilting wise as I want (other things come up and I let them distract me).

Good for you...time will go faster than you think. I gave a year's notice, but also reduced my work week to 3 days a week...no Monday's or Friday's...I had a really great employer. Now my full time job is taking care of my husband, and I took up quilting after retirement to fill the gap of so much working with computers. Love the quilting...now got 6 vintage machines and 2 fancy computerized ones. This place has been my "university of choice" since then although I was inspired by a really good friend who took me to my first quilt show. Hope you have lots of good times ahead.

I love being retired, but don't get as much sewing and quilting done as I had planned. Why? Because I spend too much time on the QB, Facebook, and Pinterest and crocheting. It's wonderful to stay up until midnight and sleep until 8:30 or 9:00 and nobody cares. I can be as energetic or lazy as I wana be.
