Well, I'm this far along with my quilt I started when I started the bargello tutorial. Thought I would post, so all who are thinking of doing one of these will know that they do finally get to the finishing stage.
I'll add a 1" dark blue boarder and then come back with about 4" or 5" of the blue and yellow print.
Wish me luck, I'm going to try to quilt this on my domestic machine. This will be my first queen size quilt being quilted by machine.

Gosh that looks so beautiful, I have almost finished section 3 sewed the other 2 together so I could see if it looked like something. LOL Now when I finish these 2 they get attached at either of the center pair right?
Its getting eaiser now that I've got the feel

Absolutely beautiful. Love your colors. If you ever get tired of it, I'll be glad to send you my address.

I do have your tutorial bookmarked and hope to get to making one soon.

Gorgeous!!! Love your fabric choices! I'll be really interested to see how you quilt it. I was stumped on what design to go with on the one I made earlier this spring.

Don't be silly....your quilt is beautiful too. In fact after I saw you quilt and I started laying mine out, I thought I didn't like it, too many prints, should be more like colleen's.
I've had the fabrics for several years. I did not pick out these fabrics. I had never used any yellow fabric in any of my quilts, so thought I would give it a try. I ask my niece to pick out 11 fabrics in yellows & blues for the bargello, and this is what she came up with.
Don't know if I will sell this one or let my niece have it. Guess I'll sell it since I'm trying to get money to buy a used Gammill.

Betty, are you doing the circles and diamond layout or the repeat?
Do you have a picture yet? I would like to see what you have done before answering.

Come on and join us. I'll help. Find the User Defined Section Bargello Quilts. The first tutorial is Bargello Tute, then are three others posted by me about sewing cuting layout, etc.
