Happy for you that you found them. I hate when things hide from me, but it seams I am always searching for something.

Whooopeeeeee ..... and heck twelce, 12" squares are no longer considered crumbs!! Awesome!!!

Two things you should now do:
    1. Make that sign a "quilty" sign! Just might get a little more respect than a handmade one, that may be only seen as nasty!

    2. Photo those crumb squares, so we can ID them for you, should they go astray again and show up in our neighbourhoods. Besides, we NEED to know what they're like and can anticipate what they will become!! :)

Under the hutch huh? That's a new one.

Glad you found them. Did you end up asking her for a hint?

That is a creative place to hide things. I hope she got rid of the dust bunnies before she shoved them in there. Mine would need a bath if someone put them under MY china cabinet! LOL!

She just taught us all a new place to hide our fabric from our spouses. I would never look under the china cabinet and hubby can't get down that low. What made you think to look under there?

My china cabinet is more like a hutch .... so could store LOTS of fabric under there .... though very visible!

My china cabinet is also a hutch but underneath is a small opening where someone could shove something like quilt squares and no one would ever find them without crawling around on the floor with a flashlight and looking under it. I didn't think about the storage cabinets underneath the china cabinet part of the hutch. I just pictured it in my head as really, really hidden--LOL.

Maybe she wanted to see if you dust under the china hutch. Now that's dirty pool.

You said you found them under the china cabinet - - -

Are you SURE your MIL put them there?

The reason for asking - I've gotten to the point where it is difficult to either put thing under or retrieve things from under very low things - - - -

Could your child possibly have done it?

Does your MIL frequently/usually mess with your stuff?
