Smile I Just Got Out of Bed

How many of you stayed up till 3 a.m. to watch the US Women's Hockey Team beat Canada earlier this morning? It was soooo good to see them win the Gold Medal. It was exciting!!!! I stayed up thru the entire awarding of the medals for the three teams and the after photos. If you didn't, you missed the most exciting event of the Olympics. How many of you?

I'm off to breakfast . . . .

I hear it was a good game but I don't follow hockey, congrats to the US team!

I love hockey, but did not know when they were playing. Funny thing....the men won gold on this day in 1980 at Lake Placid.

The American girls have not won gold for 20 years and I understand they were considered the underdog last night. I don't know anything about hockey except to hear the broadcaster call "GOAL". This is/was a good thing. I didn't know they were playing either until my daughter told me both the men and women were playing yesterday.

Yes I did! Loved it. What an exciting game. The teams we so evenly matched last night. The OT was incredible, and the first shoot out heart stopping! The final goal had me screaming "Yes!!!!" at the TV! Loved the absolute joy those women experienced. Their unity during the National Anthem was heart warming. Well deserved!

Congrats to the US team, even though I was rooting for Canada. They did a fantastic job!

it was sure an exciting game and I tried to stay awake though the whole thing--was exhausted yesterday and kept falling asleep on the sofa and then my DH would hollar and jump about and I'd wake up--couldn't stay awake for the medal ceremony though!
